I wanted to show how a few simple accessories can turn a Tic Tac Baby Cake from ''WOW" to "HOLY COW!" Our baby cakes don't have to cost any more than flowers, but the effect and appreciation is much stronger (and lasts a lot longer too!).
For example, I started with a Basic 3 Tier cake. The same exact cake from the previous post.
By adding 4 fun accessories, it changes the entire cake! It is now so much more personal! It can fit a theme yet still looks modern and so much fun! I simply added a "Peek a Boo" cow rattle (as a topper), a set of cute pig & cow wrist rattles, a "Barn Beads" stroller toy and one package of "Lots of Links".
The exciting part is, just by changing the color of the pink satin ribbon, it could become 'gender neutral' with a green ribbon, or 'boyish' with a teal/blue ribbon. The possibilities are endless! Because the accessories I added are so bright and fun, you don't notice that in all actuality, its just 4 more things!

This custom 3 tier diaper cake is the perfect theme for a new baby girl: Disney Princesses of course! What little girl doesn't want to be a princess at some point in her childhood? This custom cake is made with Pampers Swaddlers size 2 diapers (because the little one has already arrived) and accessorized with practical items that anyone with a baby would need. Lotion, baby powder and a nasal aspirator are necessities when you have a baby in the house. During the summer, baby powder can be especially useful to sprinkle on those cute chubby little baby rolls to help with sweating! This cake is finished off with Disney Princess scrapbooking embellishments and that classic Disney quote "Dreams do come true."
